Never have I felt so connected to a place in my entire life. When James and I flew over the pond to Ireland, I knew it was going to be beautiful, but what I didn't know was what an impact it would have on me. The Cliffs of Moher were overwhelming. Tears started to well up because I was in absolute awe of them. I didn't know that Glendalough looks like it's straight out of a The Lord of the Rings book. There were cows and sheep everywhere when driving through the country. When walking around the Burren you could tell it's a place that holds secrets from all of the old burial sites.
My family's roots go back to County Cork in Ireland. Learning more about the history of this incredible country made me even more proud to be Irish. I couldn't take enough photos. The trees and the grass that were so saturated with green that it looked fake... the kind people and the music!... I'll never forget the food and the beer... I cannot wait to go back. One week was not long enough.
