All of the love!!! As many times as I have photographed Shannon and Shawn together, this time HAS to take the cake. After 9 months of deployment in Bahrain, Shawn and his fellow Marines finally came home to their partners. Wives, family members, and children (some new babies too!) lined up in an airplane hanger at the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, SC waiting anxiously and joyfully for their men to arrive. Shawn and Shannon literally ran to each other, he picked her up (first photo below), and they gave each other the hug of a lifetime (first photo above). I cried. There were such real smiles and excitement to be with one another again. I remember Shannon sending me photos of dresses that she was deciding to wear for the day he finally came home. Thank you for your service, Shannon and Shawn. The world needs more people like you.
