Perseid Meteor Shower Photography | Cornwall Connecticut

The Perseid Meteor Shower is back! My good friend Gus and I headed north to my uncle's farm in Cornwall, CT two years back with my camera and his telescope to watch the meteor shower in full effect. It was a great area to photograph because there wasn't a lot of light pollution, but it was FREEZING. I hope if you're in the Northern Hemisphere tonight you'll look up and watch the show. The best time to go out and watch is from 11pm-4am.

This was one of my favorite photographs from that night. My uncle's farm house is in the bottom left corner with the milky way and andromeda over head! If you look closely too (click the photo to enlarge!), you'll be able to see a small green streak above my uncle's home which is one of the meteors. We lost count of how many meteors we saw that night.

Have fun!

xx Sam
